Born in France in 1981, Thibault ROLAND now lives in the USA, where he works as a researcher in biophysics. His passion for photography started very early, nearly 15 years ago, when he had the opportunity to visit Egypt. Since then, he has traveled to many exotic places, and his love for photography has deepened and turned into a fascination for light, and the infinite possibilities offered by it. This is one of the reasons why he chose to study physics in France, and later, to specialize in biophysics, using light as a tool to manipulate and better understand the fundamental aspects of life. As this website reflects, he has studied many aspects of photography, ranging from close-up to landscape or even portrait photography. Lately, he has developed a deep interest in "fine art" photography, and more precisely in black and white, long exposure techniques. |
